Chapter Nine

Kita

Crash!

My eyes spring open as the guy's voices trickle through the newly repaired bedroom door. "Fuck Milo!" Tate yells, as more crashing around comes from the other room. I groan, my head hurts and my throat feels dry as the desert.

"What am I doing wrong now?"

"You can't just throw her shit around. It might be important to her." Tate explains, the exasperated tone in his voice brings a smile to my face. "I don't see why we can't just throw all this away and get her new shit. Maybe skirts that won't show her whole ass with every gust of wind."

You can control the wind, Milo.

A moment of silence passes before Tate responds, "Okay trash the skirts, and whatever this thing is."

Like fucking hell.

I throw back the covers, dragging myself from the bed as I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My long black hair is messy and braided, probably Milo's doing. It's the light bruise forming on my cheekbone that sends memories from last night flooding through my groggy mind.

Mara!

I throw open the door, my eyes frantically taking in the room around me. The twins pause, surrounded by boxes, which I choose to ignore for the time being. "Is Mara okay?"

"She's fine kitten, a little banged up and shaken but she'll be fine. Her parents are on their way now."

I breathe a sigh of relief as I lean against the doorframe of my bedroom, arching an eyebrow at the chaotic room in front of me.

"Hey, are you guys ready for another-" Sleepy walks in, his eyes instantly looking me up and down, slower than necessary. Only now do I realize I'm not wearing any pants, only dressed in one of the guys' shirts.

Not this again.

Milo throws out a hand, causing a frigid gust of wind to slam Sleepy back, knocking a linebacker sized hole in the drywall.

"My deposit!" I yell, throwing up my hands in frustration. "I can level the building if you'd prefer, princess." Milo sneers as Sleepy grunts pulling himself to a stand, looking everywhere but at me.

"No! Why would I want that?"

"Then I suggest you go find some pants, kitten." Tate joins in, a devilish smirk on his face. I take a deep breath, trying to not scream at the top of my lungs. I go to lift my head as the building around us trembles. The water in a lone cup on the cluttered countertop sloshes around the rim. I squeak and run back into the bedroom, stopping the shaking instantly. The sound of laughter on the other side of the door makes me wish I had my powers; I would beat both of their asses.

I wash up, brushing my teeth and hair before changing into something the twins will deem appropriate. I walk back out to see Sleepy balancing three large boxes far too heavy for a single man to be carrying. The weight seems to be a non-issue for him regardless. He steps forward the top box knocking the door
